Abstract:
Provided is a gas alarm for detecting a gas to be detected on the basis of the resistance value of a sensor element, wherein the gas alarm is provided with a measurement unit for measuring a characteristic value of the sensor element, a heating control unit for controlling a heater so as to heat the sensor element, a determination unit for using the characteristic value to determine whether the sensor element is in a dulled state with reduced sensitivity, and a stopping control unit for stopping the heating for determining whether the sensor element is in a dulled state if the sensor element characteristic value measured by the measurement unit after the starting of heating by the heating control unit meets a predetermined condition.
