Abstract:
Provided is a gas barrier film which is transparent, and which is suitable for use as a packaging material exhibiting excellent gas barrier properties against oxygen and water vapor. The gas barrier film is configured from a polymer layer having 0.3 to 15 mass% of an acryl amide compound represented by formula (1) and a polyvalent metal salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid compound. Formula (1) is R1(H)C=C(H)-CO-N(R2)(R3), wherein R1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group, R2 represents hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl groups, R3 represents hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl groups, or a group comprising formula (2), and R2 and R3 may link and form a morpholine ring. Formula (2) is -(R4(R5)(R6))n-Y, wherein n represents an integer between 1 and 5, R4 represents a methylene group or an ethylene group, R5 represents hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl groups, R6 represents C1-4 alkyl groups, and Y represents -OH, -NH2, or -N(CH3)2.
