Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gas barrier film which, when an elongate film that is being formed or is already formed is rolled into a roll shape, can prevent adhesion of foreign matter to the film due to contact charging between the front and back surfaces of the film, and to provide a manufacturing method of said gas barrier film. This gas barrier film (10) includes a gas barrier layer (2) on one surface of a substrate (1) and has a protective film (3) on the opposite surface of the substrate. The gas barrier film is characterized in that the protective film has an adhesive layer (32) and is arranged on the substrate with said adhesive layer interposed therebetween, and in that, defining Ra1 and Ra2 respectively as the arithmetic average roughnesses of the gas barrier film surface and the protective film surface, which are in contact with one another, when the elongate gas barrier film is rolled into a roll shape, the value of Ra2 is three times or more than the value of Ra1, and the total thickness of the elongate gas barrier film is 60μm or greater.
