A gas burner, for instance for a cooking device, comprises a burner housing (10) with a burner cover (20). The burner cover comprises separated groups of burner ports (21, 22) which are supplied individually: A first group (21) of burner ports thus forms a first burner part with a first gas inlet (41). A second group (22) of burner ports provides a second burner part (22) with a second gas inlet (42).
