Abstract:
A gas chromatograph mass spectrometer of the present invention is provided with: a first gas introducing path (4) for introducing a carrier gas from a carrier gas supply source (3) into a GC unit (1); and a second gas introducing path (5) for introducing the carrier gas from the carrier gas supply source into an MS unit (2). The carrier gas introduced into the MS unit through the second gas introducing path cools an ion source (22). Consequently, without providing an extra cooling mechanism, the ion source can be cooled in a shorter time compared with the case of natural cooling.
