Abstract:

This gas circuit breaker comprises: a fixed arc contact (3) extending along an operating axis (30); a mobile arc contact (4) movable relative to the fixed arc contact (3), to a position for establishing contact therewith and to a position for being separated therefrom; a frame (6) forming a puffer chamber (7) in the surroundings of the mobile arc contact (4); a nozzle (8) assuming a cylindrical shape centered around the operating axis (30), fixed onto the frame (6) and protruding in a direction more toward the fixed arc contact (3) than the mobile arc contact (4); and an arc-extinction assisting part (11) comprising an ablation material provided on an inner surface of the nozzle (8). A drop-out prevention portion is provided on the nozzle (8) and the arc-extinction assisting part (11) for preventing the arc-extinction assisting part (11) from dropping out from the nozzle (8).
