Abstract:
A gas detection unit, a distance measurement unit, and an altitude control unit are disposed in an unmanned flying body. The gas detection unit emits to the front and diagonally downward, looking from the travel direction of the unmanned flying body, detection light that is frequency modulated by a predetermined modulation frequency having a predetermined frequency as the center frequency. The gas detection unit, from the emission of the detection light, receives as first light the light that has returned from a measurement location (a location irradiated by the detection light in a tubular member for gas transportation), and inspects a gas leak at the measurement location on the basis of the received first light. The distance measurement unit measures the distance between the gas detection unit and the measurement location. The altitude control unit controls the flying altitude of the unmanned flying body on the basis of the measured distance.
