Abstract:
A gas dilution apparatus and method. The method comprises: when diluting a standard gas, a first air passage control member (10) controls a first air inlet pipe (21) to be communicated with a first air outlet pipe (24), and a second air passage control member (50) controls a second air outlet pipe (40) to be communicated with a third air outlet pipe (60) to introduce a dilution gas into a mixing tank (94); the first air passage control member (10) controls second air inlet pipes (22) to be communicated with the first air outlet pipe (24), and the second air passage control member (50) controls the second air outlet pipe (40) to be communicated with the third air outlet pipe (60) to introduce a high-concentration standard gas into the mixing tank (94); and under the action of a flow controller (30) and a pressure sensor (80), both a set quantity of dilution gas and a set quantity of standard gas can be introduced into the mixing tank (94) for mixing to obtain a standard gas having a preset concentration. Because the second air passage control member (50) and an exhaust pipe (70) are comprised, the second air passage control member (50) can control the second air outlet pipe (40) to be communicated with the exhaust pipe (70), such that a cleaning step can be carried out before the dilution step to increase the dilution accuracy of the high-concentration standard gas by means of the cleaning step.
