Abstract:
Alarm/Anti Hijack System activated by a Remote Control when the vehicle is hijacked or parked and then broken into which will release a mixture of gasses inside the vehicle. The System uses a Timer Relay for safety. An Electronic Valve is used to release the gas mixture. The same principle applies to the House Alarm and Safe Protector. The gas mixture will immobilize the Intruder with a burning sensation on the skin as well as in the eyes and cause difficulty in breathing and nausea. The range of the Remote Control is more than 50 meters.

CLAIMS:
1. The System will put the victim of a hijack situation in control in the following situations: 1. A hijacking of a self driven vehicle where the driver is either thrown out of the vehicle or kept in a hostage situation in the vehicle, the victim can release a gas into the vehicle, which will have various effects on the assailant (not fatal) by means of a remote control devise.
2. Theft from/of property a self driven vehicle or a building the gas can be released manually or electronically or by remote control ;.
3. Intrusion into a home or building where human lives are in danger because of intruders the gas can be released to immobilize the assailant without fatal effects.
4. 2 The gas, consisting of a mixture of pepper, chili and mustard oils will immobilize the assailant by causing nausea, a severe burning sensation of the skin, difficulty in breathing and hamper eyesight with a severe burning sensation. The effects are not fatal and will last between 1530 minutes depending on the size of the assailant. The gas can be charged with various carrier agents depending on the situation and the desired pressure required.
5. 3 The canister used is a seamless pressed aluminum canister or a welded metal canister. The canister can also be made from ferrous or non ferrous materials depending on the need. Characterized by a very high safety margin on pressure. The canister is held down by means of a metal bracket which can vary in size and strength and also holds down and serves as a mounting point of the release valve.
6. The release valve which can be a manual or electronic or electric is on a normallv closed mode. It will only open on command from the receiver or control circuit which in turn is controlled by the carrier of the transmitter or via satellite. It is a high pressure valve with a very high seal quality, characterized by components which are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion, and defects caused by certain chemicals.
7. The gas is sprayed through a spray nozzle which is mounted inside the vehicle or property and can be set for the desired direction or distance or density of spray and it is designed to blend in with the interior of the vehicle or property installed in.
8. The receiver receives as a signal from a transmitter via satellite or directly from the transmitter which sends a signal to the control circuit which activates the valve. The receiver is an electronic design. The receiver is battery safe meaning it will not send a pulse on a voltage drop or breakage thus making this a very safe devise meaning the chances for false releases are very slim. The receiver can be connected to an alarm system in the case of a burglar alarm.
9. A safety devise which incorporates a timer delay, warning buzzer and warning light which will switch the system from rest mode to active and to rest mode again within certain time periods as desired is fitted to the receiver to minimize accidental release of the gas.
10. The transmitter is a device which transmits a radio wave to the receiver which varies in frequency. The transmitter can be a hand out remote control, or by manual switching or via satellite. It can vary in size and range according to need.
11. The Inventors claim that this devise can create a safer environment being that the victim can be in control of a situation at all times. Once the gas is released the victim can assess the situation and react to what he feels is safe be it a citizen's arrest or a phone call to the local authorities. In the event of a car hijacking the vehicle can be recovered in minimal time and with minimum damages by the victim if chosen so. Local law enforcement departments will have a safer arrest situation whilst the assailant is immobilized. This devise can reduce vehicle hijacking, assaults, rape or murder in you own property and general safety of the public as well as reduce theft of/from property.
12. This device is designed and built to protect the victim and ensure arrests and recovery of the goods without permanent harm to the assailant, with the minimum force necessary which will not inflict any human rights as set out in the Constitution, therefore a legal suit or claim against the victim is minimal. This devise is easy to operate by any gender regardless of age with necessary guidance and training given. The transmitter can also be used to activate or deactivate the system, making it safe (safe mode) in order for a person to enter property without being sprayed. 2 RECEIVER The receiver will receive the signal from the remote control or satellite and send it to the control circuit. The control circuit converts the signal into electric pulses depending on what it is programmed to do. The pulses can either activate or deactivate the system or open/close the electric valve. Depending on the purpose for which the patent will be used the control circuit will accommodate the need.
13. 3 ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY The electric power supply supplies the system with electric power. By means of electricity, generated or battery supply.
14. 4 ELECTRIC VALVE The electric valve releases the pressurised gas in a controlled way. It opens and closes electrically/electronically from pulses that is being send from the control circuit. The electric valve can also be replaced by a mechanical valve, depending on the purpose for which the patent will be used. GAS IN CONTAINER The gas is pressurised in a canister and placed in a container. The gas can only be released by the electrical valve or the mechanical valve.
15. 6 SPRAY NOZZLES The spray nozzles spray the gas in a certain fashion depending on the purpose for which tha patent will be used. It releases the gas in the air which will have the desired effect.

BACKGROUND ART: The system was designed to counter Act the crime wave that hit South Africa. It is aimed at the theft and car hijacking of motor vehicles as well as theft from motor vehicles. It can also be installed in property as an ami theft device.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION: This system consists of the following as described hereafter: A gas canister, with a mixture of pepper, mustard and chili oils with a carrier agent to pressurize the can. The canister is a seamless pressed aluminum canister with a valve with a very high safety margin.

Connecte to the canister is a valve, either electronic, mechanical or electrical with a permanent close stage that must be opened by means of a remote control or a mechanical switch or via satellite or by means of an additional alarm system. The electrical valve releases the pressurized gas in a controlled way.

The valve is connected to a spray nossle by means of a ferrous or non ferrous pipe, which feeds the spray nossles consisting of ferrous or non ferrous materials. In the case of a self driven vehicle the nossle will be placed inside the vehicle as desired, as well with other properties.

The transmitter is used to release the gas by means of a remote control or via satellite. The transmitter can also be used to activate or deactivate, making it safe (safe mode) in order for a person to enter the property without being sprayed. The transmitter is a hand held device that can be carried on the person itself or as desired. The transmitter can also be used to activate an alarm system and can vary in size depending on the range. The transmitter can also be an alarm system on its own.

The receiver will receive the signal from the remote control or the transmitter or satellite or via manual switching and send it on to the control circuit. The control circuit converts the signal into electric pulses depending on what it is programmed to do. The pulses can either activate or deactivate the system or open/close the electric valve. Depending on the purpose for with the patent will be used the control circuit can be modified to accommodate that need. The receiver can be modified or enlarged to accommodate different devices and systems connected to it.

A backup safety devise with a time delay will be connected to the receiver and will arm the system either by a mechanical switch or transmitter or via satellite and will switch the system into rest mode after a certain period of time (which can be adjusted as desired). The safety system can also include a warning buzzer or light or can vary in option. The safety system will form a part of the patent.
