Abstract:
A gas dryer (100) of the present invention is a heaterless type gas dryer (100) which dehumidifies hydrogen gas circulating in a rotating electric machine (6) and is provided with: a drying tower (1) in which moisture in the hydrogen gas is adsorbed to a drying agent (2); and a funnel-shaped drying agent holding portion (13) disposed inside the drying tower (1) and holding the drying agent (2). The drying agent (2) is put in the drying agent holding portion (13) from an input valve (25) located at the upper portion of the drying tower (1), and the damp drying agent (2) is discharged from a discharge valve (26) located at the lower portion of the drying tower (1). The drying agent holding portion (13) is made of, for example, a perforated metal that allows air to pass through, and is used as a partition plate that partitions the inside of the drying tower (1).
