Abstract:

The gas engine system is equipped with: a gas engine including multiple cylinders; a turbocharger including a compressor connected to multiple cylinders via an air supply passage , and a turbine connected to the multiple cylinders via an exhaust passage; a throttle valve disposed on the air supply passage; a bleed valve disposed on a branch passage branching from the air supply passage; and a control device for controlling the throttle valve and the bleed valve. The control device determines whether or not an idling condition is satisfied. When the idling condition is satisfied, the control device closes the bleed valve completely and controls the throttle valve such that a charging air pressure, that is, a pressure of air supplied to the multiple cylinders, becomes a negative pressure. When the idling condition is not satisfied, the control device maintains the throttle valve at a predetermined opening degree and controls the bleed value such that the charging air pressure becomes a target pressure.
