Abstract:
Provided is a gas generator comprising a plurality of gas discharge ports which include a plurality of first gas discharge ports and one or a plurality of second gas discharge ports having an opening pressure higher than that of the first gas discharge ports. The opening pressure of the first gas discharge ports and the opening pressure of the second gas discharge ports are set such that only the plurality of the first gas discharge ports of the plurality of gas discharge ports are opened by a pressure of gas when the igniter is activated in a standalone state before the gas generator is built into an airbag device and the first gas discharge ports which are of the plurality of gas discharge ports and are other than a part of the first gas discharge ports and at least a part of the second gas discharge ports which are of the plurality of gas discharge ports are opened by a pressure of gas when the igniter is activated in an assembled state.
