Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a gas generator that is capable of creating a time difference in terms of ignition start time of a gas-generating agent loaded in a combustion chamber while utilizing a single ignition means and is thus suitable to be used as an occupant restraining device such as an airbag device. To this end, in the present invention, a gas generator for an occupant restraining device is configured such that after passing through a first connection part (33) of an ignition means chamber housing (30), combustion products generated in an ignition means chamber (34) collide against an inner tubular wall part (70, 170, 270, 370, 470), redirecting the flow thereof toward a top plate (12a) so that the combustion products pass through vent holes (53) of an annular wall part (50).
