Abstract:

A fluorine gas generator comprises an electrolytic cell. An electrolytic bath is formed inside the electrolytic cell. A negative pole is disposed in a negative pole chamber and a positive pole is disposed in a positive pole chamber. Voltage is applied between the negative pole and the positive pole and HF (hydrogen fluoride) electrolysis is thereby performed. Primarily hydrogen gas is generated from the negative pole of the electrolytic cell, while primarily fluorine gas is generated from the positive pole. There are two heating ovens for heating NaF pellets which are packed in a HF adsorption column. There are two HF adsorption columns inside each heating oven.
