Abstract:
The present invention is a gas generator, wherein: a metal first collar provided to a first igniter of an ignition means chamber has a first cylindrical body, a first panel extending in the radial direction of the housing from a peripheral surface portion of said first cylindrical body, and a first wall surface on which a portion of the first panel extends in the axial direction of the housing; a metal second collar provided to a second igniter of a second combustion chamber has a second cylindrical body, a second panel extending in the radial direction from a peripheral surface portion of said second cylindrical body, and a second wall surface on which a portion of the second panel extends in the axial direction; the first igniter of the ignition means chamber is secured by having the bottom-end side of the first cylindrical body of the first collar fitted into a first hole part, which is one of two radially separated holes in the bottom panel of the housing; the second igniter of the second combustion chamber is secured by having the bottom-end side of the second cylindrical body of the second collar fitted into a second hole part, which is the other of the two radially separated holes in the bottom panel; the first wall surface of the first collar and the second wall surface of the second collar are in a radially opposed arrangement; and during operation, when the pressure inside the housing rises, the first wall surface and the second wall surface come into contact while being pressed radially inward together.
