Abstract:
A gas generator (1A) is provided with a long cylindrical housing (10), an accommodating chamber regulation member (60) disposed inside the housing (10), a gas-generating agent (70), and an auto-ignition agent (71). The accommodating chamber regulation member (60), which extends along a direction parallel to the axial direction of the housing (10), has in the interior thereof a cylindrical part in which the gas-generating agent (70) is accommodated. A heat-insulating layer (S1B) is positioned between the housing (10) and the cylindrical part. The auto-ignition agent (71) is disposed in a portion inside the housing (10) where the heat-insulating layer (S1B) is not provided along the axial direction of the housing (10), so as to be in contact with the housing (10) via a metal member.
