Abstract:
Provided is a gas generator comprising a cylindrical filter within a housing which has a gas exhaust port. The housing has a plurality of independent protrusions or an annular protrusion that protrude(s) inward from an inner wall surface of the housing. The independent protrusions have annular protruding wall surfaces, and the annular protrusion has an annular distal end surface. The cylindrical filter includes a first annular end surface and a second annular end surface, and a support member having an annular surface part that supports the cylindrical filter is further disposed. The annular surface part is an annular flat surface part, or includes an annular flat surface part and a deformed part in which at least one of an inner circumferential part and an outer circumferential part of the annular flat surface part is completely or partially deformed. The support member is disposed so that a portion including the outer circumferential part of the annular flat surface part abuts the annular protruding wall surfaces of the independent protrusions or the first annular protruding wall surface of the annular protrusion. The second annular end surface of the cylindrical filter abuts the annular flat surface part of the support member, and the first annular end surface of the cylindrical filter abuts the inner circumferential surface of the housing.
