Abstract:
A gas-insulated switching device comprising a fixed-side contact and a movable-side contact, wherein at least one of the fixed-side contact and the movable-side contact has a rod, an arc electrode, and a spiral electrode, the arc electrode is placed between the spiral electrode and the other contact, the arc electrode and the spiral electrode are electrically connected at each outer periphery, the arc electrode has a through hole, the spiral electrode and the rod are connected by a rod connection part, and the through hole is provided at a position opposing the rod connection part. This configuration ensures breaking performance by having a magnetic drive force by the spiral electrode act effectively on the entire arc electrode in the gas-insulated switching device, and makes it possible to prevent damage to the spiral electrode by the arc, and maintain the magnetic drive force for a long time.
