Title:
GAS-JET EJECTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1990/011450
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A gas-jet ejector comprises a casing (1) in which are mounted, coaxially and consecutively along the gas path, a receiving chamber (2) intended for connection with the volume to be evacuated, a mixing chamber (3) and a diffuser (4) connected to a vacuum pump. In the receiving chamber (2) is coaxially mounted a Laval nozzle (5) connected to the outside atmosphere. The geometry of the critical cross-section of the Laval nozzle (5), of its outlet cross-section and of the inlet and outlet cross-sections of the mixing chamber (3) provides for a 1.35 to 1.80-fold increase of the volume output at the end face of the diffuser (4).
