Abstract:
The gas pistol firing pellets consists of the barrel (A), the assembly for creating the explosive mixture (B), the assembly for electric ignition of the explosive mixture (C), the triggering mechanism (D) and the pellet magazine (E). The straight part of the barrel (1) fires the pellets from the pistol, and the narrowed part (2) prevents passing of the pellets into the combustion chamber (3). The explosive mixture of gas and oxygen is ignited by electric spark, to propel the pellet. The pellet (29) enters from the magazine (E), through the opening (4), into the straight part of the barrel (1), to lean against the narrowed part of the barrel (2). The feeder (27), pressed by the magazine spring (26), pushes pellets from the magazine into the straight part of the barrel. Pulling of the trigger (19.) simultaneously opens the valves (13) and (16) letting gas and oxygen into the combustion chamber. Also simultaneously, there is activated the piezo-electric generator (7) that generates high-voltage electricity to create spark at the mixture ignition plug (10). The gas pistol firing pellets takes larger quantity of ammunition, is more precise and safer, and requires no manual rechambering.

PATENT CLAIMS
1. The gas pistol firing pellets, wh e re in it has the barrel (A), that consists of the straight part (1), the narrowed part (2), the combustion chamber (3), the opening (4) to let the pellets from the magazine (E) into the straight part of the barrel (1); it has the assembly for creating the explosive mixture (B); it has the assembly for electric ignition of the explosive mixture (C); it has the triggering mechanism (D); it has the pellet magazine (E), and it has the outer casing (30).
2. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claim 1., wh e re i n the straight part of the barrel (1) is by the narrowed part of the barrel (2) connected with the combustion chamber (3) in which there is the plug (10) that ignites the explosive mixture (18) which, in turn, creates high pressure that propels the pellet (29) which is situated in the straight part of the barrel (1), leaning against the narrowed part of the barrel (2).
3. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claims 1. and 3., wh e re in the assembly for creating the explosive mixture (B) consists of the vessel (12) containing inflammable gas, the valve (13), the tube (14) that brings the gas from the vessel (12) into the combustion chamber (3), the vessel (15) containing oxygen, the valve (16) and the tube (17) that brings oxygen from the vessel (15) into the combustion chamber (3).
4. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claim 1, wh e re in the assembly for igniting the explosive mixture (3) consists of the piesoelectric generator (7) to produce highvoltage electricity, the highvoltage cable (8), the electric switch (9) and the plug (10) with electrodes (11).
5. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claim 4., wh e re in the pieso electric generator (7) is located between the vessels (12) and (15), so that it is activated by the pusher (20) simultaneously with creating the explosive mixture in the combustion chamber (3).
6. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claims 1., 4. and 5., wh e re in it has the switch (9) that acts as a safety device, activated from the outer lateral side of the pistol casing, before its use.
7. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claim 1., wh e re i n the triggering mechanism (D) consists of the manual trigger (19), the returning spring (22), the mechanical safety device (21) and the pusher (20) that, pressed by the trigger, pushes the valves (13 and 16) and activates the piesoelectric generator (7).
8. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claims 1. and 7., wh e re in it has the mechanical safety device (21) that is activated manually from the outer lateral side of the pistol casing.
9. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claim 1., wh e re in the pellet magazine (E) consists of the housing (23) that is in its upper part (24) narrowed to let only one pellet through and is fitted to the opening (4) of the straight part of the barrel (1), the magazine cover (25), the magazine spring (26), and the bulge (28) that enables pushing the last pellet in the magazine into the barrel; the pellet magazine (E) also serves as the pistol grip.
10. The gas pistol firing pellets, as claimed in Claims 1. and 9., wh e re i n it has the narrowed part (24) of the housing (23), through which pellets enter into the straight part of the barrel (1), designed oblique in the direction opposite from the straight part of the barrel (1).

GAS PISTOL FIRING PELLETS

INVENTION DESCRIPTION

L FIELD OF APPLICATION

The invention relates to the pistol that fires pellet shaped bullets, fired from the barrel by pressure of an explosive gas mixture, ignited by a spark created by plug connected to a pieso-electric generator. In the International Patent Classification it is classified as F 41 - Weapons, F 41 C - smallarms, e.g. pistols, rifles; accessories therefore, F 41 C 3/00 that includes pistols and revolvers. The invention also belongs to the group F 41 A 19/58 that includes electric firing mechanisms, and 19/62 and 19/63 that includes pieso- electric generators with sparking.

2. TECHNICAL PROBLEM

Pistols and revolvers as firearms hold relatively small numbers of bullets. This is because both of them use ammunition that consists of a case containing powder and of a bullet at its front end, which increases the size of the cartridge and decreases the magazine capacity. Because of the small number of bullets, such pistols are to be often reloaded which complicates their handling, and in some situations, such as self-defence and like, these problems may jeopardize our lives. Furthermore, with many pistols, a bullet is to be chambered, which takes precious time. There are also pistols that are not safe enough, e.g., in case of its falling to the ground, which can cause the pistol to fire, with unwanted consequences. Many pistols are not precise enough, due to short barrels. The technical problem that is solved by this invention relates to construction of a pistol that uses bullets shaped to let more of them into the magazine, the bullets being propelled by means of inflammable mixture ignited by an electric spark, which pistols have greater precision and safety at handling. 3. STATE OF THE ART

There are various kinds of firearms, such as pistols, revolvers, etc., that hold a relatively small quantity of ammunition. Revolvers, for instance, have a cylinder holding about 6 cartridges, whereas semiautomatic pistols take up to about 15 cartridges. Pistols and revolvers use cartridges shaped like a casing and a bullet at the front end. This cartridge shape decreases the magazine capacity. Because of the small number of bullets, such pistols are often to be reloaded. With many pistols, the bullet is to be manually chambered, and because of the cartridge shape and length, their barrel is shorter, which adversely influences firing precision.

4. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

The essence of the invention is the pistol that uses pellet-shaped ammunition, this increasing the number of bullets in the magazine. For this purpose, the pistol handle makes the magazine where the pellets are stored. The pistol barrel contains a combustion chamber with a plug that produces sparks. The pellets are propelled from the barrel by means of pressure created by inflammable gas and oxygen mixture, ignited by a spark. The spark is created by electricity obtained from a pieso-electric generator. With this pistol, the small length of the bullet enables longer barrel and this, in turn, greater precision. The pistol is supplied with double safety devices, electric and mechanic, whereby the pistol safety is significantly increased. Handling this pistol is much simpler, since it requires no manual chambering and no often reloading.

6. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ONE OF THE BEST INVENTION EMBODIMENTS

The gas pistol firing pellets, as shown in Figures 1. to 6., consists of the main barrel A, the assembly for creating the explosive mixture B, the assembly for electric ignition of the explosive mixture C, the firing mechanism D and the pellet magazine E.

The main barrel A is intended for firing the pellets from the pistol. It consists of the straight part of the barrel 1 through which the pellets are fired from the pistol, the narrowed part of the barrel 2 preventing the pellet to enter the combustion chamber, the combustion chamber 3 where electric spark ignites the explosive gas and oxygen mixture to create pressure that propels the pellet from the barrel, the opening 4 through which pellets from the magazine enter the straight part of the barrel, the cover 5 that closes the barrel after fitting the plug in the combustion chamber, the outer casing 30, and the sights 6 at the top side of the pistol.

The assembly for creating the explosive mixture B creates explosive mixture in the combustion chamber. The assembly B consists of the vessel 12 holding inflammable gas, the valve 13, the tube 14 that takes gas from the vessel 12 into the combustion chamber 3, the vessel 15 holding oxygen, the valve 16, the tube 17 that takes oxygen from the vessel 15 into the combustion chamber 3. Mixing of gas from the vessel 12 and oxygen from the vessel 15 in the chamber 3 crates inflammable mixture 18. The vessels 12 and 15 are so positioned that a simultaneous pressure to the valves 13 and 16 opens gas and oxygen flows from their vessels into the combustion chamber. The gas and oxygen vessels are rechargeable. The assembly for electric ignition of the explosive mixture C enables sparking from the plug, which spark ignites the gas and oxygen mixture. For this purpose, the assembly C consists of the pieso-electric generator 7 that produces high-voltage electric current, the high voltage cable 8 that conducts electricity from the generator to the plug, the electric switch 9 that breaks the electricity current from the generator to the plug, the plug 10 with electrodes 11 that produces spark that ignites mixture in the chamber. The pieso-electric generator 7 is located between the vessels 12 and 15 so that a pusher activates it very shortly after opening and letting gas and oxygen from their vessels, simultaneously with creation of the inflammable mixture in the combustion chamber 3. The plug 10 is situated in the rear part of the combustion chamber. The switch 9 acts as a safety device, activated from the outer lateral side before using the pistol. The system for creating, controlling and igniting the explosive mixture is designed similar to that of a gas cigarette lighter, ignited by an electric spark.

The triggering mechanism D activates the pistol, following which a pellet is launched from the barrel after each pulling of the trigger. The D mechanism consists of the manual trigger 19 pulled by finger to fire the pistol, the pusher 20 that, pressed by the trigger, pushes the valves 13 and 16 and thereby opens the vessels 12 and 15 and also activates the pieso-electric generator, the mechanic safety device 21 that makes the pistol safe when not in use, and the return spring 22 that returns the trigger after firing into its initial position. The mechanical safety device 21 is activated manually from the pistol's outer lateral side.

The pellet magazine E stores the pellets. The pellet magazine consists of the housing 23 fitted via the narrowed part of the magazine 24 to the opening 4 at the straight part of the barrel 1 , the cover 25 that closes the magazine from its under side, the magazine spring 26 that via the feeder 27 pushes the pellets 29 into the straight part of the barrel 1 , and the bulge 28 that enables pushing of the very last pellet into the barrel. The magazine housing is in its upper part, narrowed to let just one pellet at a time. The part of the pellet magazine through which the pellets enter the barrel, Figure 5., is oblique contrary to the straight part 1 of the barrel A. This is because when a pellet is in the barrel it is to stay in its position, since when the barrel is turned down it could fall through the barrel. This is achieved by the oblique part of the magazine 24, directing the pellet in the direction contrary from the barrel exit, that is, towards the narrowing 2 in the pistol barrel that prevents the pellet from entering the combustion chamber 3. At the same time, the next pellet, that is below the pellet in the barrel, pressures the pellet in the barrel (due to the curved part of the magazine), so that the pellet in the barrel cannot move to any side of the barrel. When all pellets but one are fired, as shown in Figure 8., there is no pellet left to push the last one. In this situation, the bulge 28 on the pellet feeder replaces the next pellet. The pellet magazine E also serves at the pistol grip. The pellet magazine has large capacity since no standard long cartridges (cartridges with case) are being used, but steel pellets that are much shorter than classic ammunition. Therefore, the magazine can take many more pellets than cartridges with other pistols. The number of pellets depends on their shape and size. The magazine can be designed to take several horizontal and vertical lines of pellets by its height and width. The embodiment described here shows a magazine with two vertical and two horizontal lines of pellets. Thus, this magazine takes 77 pellets. The gas pistol firing pellets is activated as follows: the magazine is filled with pellets, the switch is turned on and the mechanical safety device is turned off. By pressing the trigger, the gas and oxygen valves are opened simultaneously and gas and oxygen, through their tubes, enter the combustion chamber, creating an explosive mixture there. Simultaneously, the pusher activated the pieso-electric generator. The generated high-voltage electricity is conducted through the cable and the closed switch, creating spark at the plug electrodes. The spark ignites the inflammable mixture, which creates high pressure in the chamber that, through the narrowed part of the barrel, propels the pellet that is in the straight part of the barrel in great speed. Upon this, the pellet feeder pushes the next pellet into the barrel. The pistol is now ready to fire again. Thanks to this mode of operation, this pistol does not require manual rechambering like others. The pistol is provided with two safety devices, electronic and mechanical, both of them preventing any incidental firing. As shown in Figure 5., the pistol is in safe position, because the electric switch 9 is off and the mechanical safety device 21 is in the position that prevents moving the trigger 19. As shown in the Figure 7., the pistol is ready to fire because the electric switch is on and the mechanical safety device is in the position that allows the trigger to move. This pistol is more precise, because the pellets pass through a longer barrel, it is safer (two safety devices), simple to handle (no manual rechambering required), does not require often reloading, and will not fire when hitting the ground (because there is no needle like with other pistols).

Just like other pistols, this pistol too is intended for self-defence, sport, police, army, etc.
