Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a flow channel (2) through which a gas flows; an ultrasonic sensor (1) for measuring the flow rate of the gas flowing through the flow channel (2); a computation unit (15) that calculates flow rate measurement data from measured values of the ultrasonic sensor (1); and a leak detection unit (14) that detects very small gas leaks. The present invention is also provided with: a pulsation recognition unit (5) that, when a change in the flow rate measurement data calculated by the flow rate computation unit (15) is at or above a prescribed value, recognizes that a pulsation is being generated; and a during-pulsation flow rate correction unit (6) that corrects the flow rate measurement data by using a prescribed value when it is determined by the pulsation recognition unit (5) that pulsation is occurring. Furthermore, when it is determined by the pulsation recognition unit (5) that pulsation is occurring, the leak detection unit (14) determines the presence or absence of a leak by using the flow rate measurement data corrected by the during-pulsation flow rate correction unit (6).
