Abstract:
Provided is a gas sensor that is capable of specifying the ammonia concentration of a gas under measurement and comprises a less expensive detection electrode than the prior art. This mixed-potential-type gas sensor specifies the concentration of ammonia in a gas under measurement on the basis of a potential difference that is produced between a detection electrode and reference electrode and corresponds to the concentration of ammonia in the gas under measurement. The detection electrode is provided so as to be capable of coming into contact with the gas under measurement at a conductive oxide having lower ammonia combustion performance than Pt.
