Abstract:
This laminated gas sensor element (1) is formed through the lamination of a plurality of ceramic layers. The gas sensor element (1) comprises an oxygen-ion-conductive solid electrolyte (2), a measurement electrode (31) and a reference electrode (32) provided on the two main surfaces of the solid electrolyte (2), a chamber (4) that faces the measurement electrode (31) and into which a gas under measurement is introduced, and a heater (5) that heats the solid electrolyte (2). The chamber (4) comprises a protruding edge part (43) that protrudes in a width direction (W) that is orthogonal to both the longitudinal direction of the gas sensor element (1) and the lamination direction in a cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The apex (433) of the protruding edge part (43) is positioned closer to the heater (5) than the center (4C) of the chamber (4) in the lamination direction.
