Abstract:
A gas sensor and a simulation method. The gas sensor comprises at least one segment of photonic solid optical fiber. A plurality of through holes are uniformly formed along the axial direction of the photonic solid optical fiber. A metal film coupled with a fiber core base mold is provided on the hole walls of a preset number of through holes. Gas-sensitive thin films are disposed on the side of the metal film distant from the hole walls. By means of plating the metal film, a methane-sensitive thin film and a hydrogen-sensitive thin film on the inner walls of through holes, changes in the concentrations of methane and hydrogen will result in linear changes of the refractive indexes of the sensitive thin films, thereby causing the SPR effect and resulting in a loss peak that moves regularly, thereby significantly increasing the gas detection precision.
