Abstract:
Provided are: a gas separation membrane which is capable of achieving both excellent gas permeability and excellent gas separation selectivity, even if used under high-pressure conditions, and which is capable of maintaining excellent gas separation selectivity, even if brought into contact with impurity components such as toluene; a gas separation module using said gas separation membrane; a gas separation device; and a gas separation method. This gas separation membrane is provided with a gas separation layer including a polyimide compound. The polyimide compound includes repeating units represented by formula (I). Rf1, Rf4, Rf5, and Rf8 represent alkyl groups. Rf2, Rf3, Rf6, Rf7, and Rf9-Rf16 represent hydrogen atoms or substituents, and at least one is a specific polar group. A represents a single bond or a divalent linking group having a specific structure. R represents a mother nucleus having a specific structure.
