Abstract:
Disclosed is a gas tank wherein an outer circumferential layer can be formed appropriately by a filament winding method, and the weight is reduced by reducing the weight of a cap. A high pressure gas tank has a cap fixed to the end of a tank body in the axial direction, and an outer circumferential layer formed by a filament winding method over the outer circumferential surfaces of the tank body and the cap. At the end of a tank body in the axial direction, the outer end face of the cap enters into the outer end face of the outer circumferential layer to form a recess.
