Disclosed is a container in a gas treatment facility for treating natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide, the weight of which is reduced in order to solve a problem such as increase in the weight due to the tendency of increase in the size thereof. A gas treatment device is provided with a container used in a wet hydrogen sulfide environment in order to treat gas containing hydrogen sulfide such as natural gas, petroleum associated gas, and petroleum refining gas. A high tensile steel, the yield point of which is not less than 300 N/mm2 is used as a steel plate for the container. In addition, an austenitic stainless steel is lined or overlaid and welded on the inner surface of the steel plate of the high tensile steel which constitutes the container. This prevents corrosion and atomic hydrogen generation due to the corrosion on the inner surface of the container, thereby preventing hydrogen induced cracking. Furthermore, increased thinning of the thickness of the container is promoted by using the high tensile steel, thereby providing the weight reduction of the container.
