Abstract:
An electromechanical inlet guide vane actuation system (500) includes one or more electric motor driven actuators (506-1, 506-2) that are used to appropriately position the inlet guide vanes (212) in a gas turbine engine. The actuation system (500) includes a control circuit (502) that supplies guide vane actuation control signals in response to guide vane position command signals it receives. The guide vane actuation control signals are supplied to one or more electric motors (504-1, 504-2), which position actuators (506-1, 506-2), and thus the inlet guide vanes (212), to the commanded position.
