Abstract:

A gas-turbine engine (E) comprising a compressor wheel and a turbine wheel (10) both fixed on a rotating shaft (8), a single can type combustor (18) disposed on an extension line from the rotating shaft (8), and an annular heat transfer type heat exchanger (12) disposed so as to surround the outside of the single can type combustor (18) in a radial direction, and wherein the compressor wheel (9), turbine wheel (10), single can type combustor (18) and heat transfer type heat exchanger (12) are disposed coaxially with an axis (L), this making the flows of compressed air and combustion gas and temperature distribution inside a casing axisymmetric with the axis (L), whereby it is possible not only to make the flows of compressed air and combustion gas axisymmetric in the gas-turbine engine but also to prevent the generation of distorsion due to heat.
