Abstract:
Provided is a gas turbine starting device (4) comprising the following: a planetary gear mechanism (11) that includes a sun gear (16), a planetary carrier (18) disposed on the outer circumference of the sun gear (16), and an inner gear (19) disposed on the outer circumference of the planetary carrier (18), the sun gear, planetary carrier, and inner gear serving as rotating bodies (12) rotating about an axis (O1), and that includes planetary gears (17) which are supported by the planetary carrier (18) and mesh with the sun gear (16) and the inner gear (19); and a variable speed power source (10) that has a rotor (23) which is connected to any one of the rotating bodies (12) in the planetary gear mechanism (11). A rotating shaft (2a) of a gas turbine (2) is connected to any one of the rotating bodies (12) other than the rotating body to which the variable speed power source (10) is connected. A rotating shaft (2a) of a pressurizing device (3) is connected to the one remaining rotating body (12) other than the rotating bodies to which the rotor (23) of the variable speed power source (10) and the rotating shaft (2a) of the gas turbine (2) are connected.
