Abstract:

　Provided is a power generation system which adapts well to load fluctuations. A multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system provided with: a compressor (1) for compressing air to produce compressed air; a combustor (20) for producing combustion gas from the compressed air and fuel; a gas generator (15) having a high-pressure turbine (2a) driven by the combustion gas; a power turbine (16) having a low-pressure turbine (2b) driven by gas ejected from the gas generator (15), and a main power generator (5) for generating power through the rotational force of the low-pressure turbine (2b) and supplying power to a system; an auxiliary electric motor/power generator (6) which is a combined electric motor/power generator connected to the gas generator (15) and the power turbine (16) via a frequency converter (10); and a control device (200), the gas generator (15) and the power turbine (16) being configured of separate shafts; wherein the control device (200) receives input of load objectives of the system and load fluctuation factors of the system and outputs signals for controlling the frequency converter.
