Abstract:
Disclosed is a gas turbine engine system (S) comprising: a transmission (9) that changes the speed of a rotary output of an output shaft (7) of a gas turbine (GT), and transmits the rotary output to a load device (GE) which is to be driven by the gas turbine; and a gas turbine cooling system (CS) that cools a section downstream of a compressor (1) of the gas turbine (GT) by employing, as a cooling medium, a working gas (G) bled from the compressor (1). A pressurizer (15) that pressurizes the working gas (G) is provided midway of a cooling gas passage (11) where the working gas (G) is bled from the compressor (1) and is supplied as a cooling gas (CG) to the section downstream of the compressor (1). The pressurizer (15) is driven by the transmission (9).
