Disclosed is a gasification device which can increase yield of gas generated by the gasification device and can increase the amount of carbon monoxide included in said generated gas, by means of eliminating and recovering tar compounds, char, and other carbon compounds from gas generated by gasifying fuel to be gasified, and reusing the aforementioned carbon compounds to generate gas. In order to accomplish the above, said gasification device is provided with a gasification furnace, which generates gas by gasifying fuel to be gasified; a scrubber device, which eliminates carbon compounds included in the aforementioned generated gas; and a combustion device, which generates combustion gas containing carbon dioxide by burning the aforementioned carbon compounds. The gasification device is structured such that the aforementioned combustion gas is inserted into generated gas, which is upstream of the aforementioned scrubber device, and is in a temperature zone that is lower than the temperature of said combustion gas.
