Abstract:
Provided are: an alkaline battery gasket that does not give rise to liquid leakage caused by carbides of a polyamide resin material, has excellent flowability at the time of molding and is less likely to cause flow lines, and is capable of enhancing longevity with which a thin part serving as an explosion-proof safety valve functions normally without rupturing before the life of the alkaline dry battery expires; and a method for producing the gasket. This gasket for an alkaline dry battery is formed by injection molding using a resin composition, and includes a thin part in a portion thereof, wherein: the resin composition is a polyamide 610 resin composition that includes a polyamide 610 resin as a main component, said polyamide 610 resin having a viscosity number ranging from 80 ml/g to 145 ml/g, and the polyamide 610 resin composition includes molding aids such as a crystal nucleating agent and a release agent.
