Abstract:
A gasket material using a fluororubber composition on a metal plate, the fluororubber composition being obtained by mixing 30-70 weight parts of carbon black having a CTAB specific surface area of 3-34 m2/g, and 5-15 weight parts of water-containing amorphous silicon dioxide having a BET specific surface area of 35-220 m2/g, the total amount of both substances being 80 weight parts or less, per 100 weight parts of fluororubber, a fluororubber crosslinked layer being formed having microhardness of 5-25. This rubber laminated metal plate is obtained by forming on the metal plate a crosslinked layer of a fluororubber composition obtained by blending carbon black having a specified specific surface area with water-containing amorphous silicon dioxide (silica) into a specified amount of fluororubber, whereby a fluororubber crosslinked layer is formed having a microhardness of 5-25, preferably 10-20, and a D hardness of 45-65, preferably 50-60, and the rubber laminated metal plate can be effectively used as a cylinder head gasket material.
