Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gasket. A gasket, which is provided for maintaining the airtightness of the connection parts of flanges for connecting pipes, comprises: a body which is pressed and fixed onto flange connection parts and thus maintains the airtightness, has on the center a flow space, through which a fluid moving via pipes passes, and is formed from a rubber material; a insertion protrusion which protrudes from each of the both sides of the body facing the flanges, protrudes so as to surround the flow space, and has an insertion groove of which one lateral side in the flow space direction opens on the side facing the flange; and a reinforcing body which is disposed on the inner part of the body through which the fluid passes such that the reinforcing body covers each of the both sides coming in contact with the flanges, covers one lateral side of the body forming the flow space and thus forms a reinforcing flow space, through which the fluid passes in direct contact, is provided in the outer direction on the both sides of the body coming into contact with the flanges so as to cover the body up to the part that is inserted into the insertion groove, and has on the end of the outer circumference an insertion portion inserted and fixed onto the insertion groove.
