Abstract:
Provided is a gasket with which a clamping force for clamping a pair of members to pressure-hold the gasket therebetween can be reduced, while corrosion by salt water or the like of the members pressure-holding the gasket can be minimized. A gasket (1) is provided with a metal substrate (10) made of a metal, and a membranous coating layer (20) formed from an elastic substance covering the metal substrate (10). The metal substrate (10) has a base part (11), an inner peripheral part (12), and an outer peripheral part (13). The base part (11) is a portion where a flat plate extends in an annular and endless shape. The inner peripheral part (12) is a portion extending at a slant from an inner peripheral edge (11a) of the base part (11) toward a side faced by a lower surface (15) of the base part (11), and the outer peripheral part (13) is a portion extending at a slant from an outer peripheral edge (11b) of the base part (11) toward the side faced by the lower surface (15) of the base part (11).
