Abstract:
According to the present embodiment, a gasket is disposed in a pressed state between pipe flanges connected to each other so as to seal the pipes. The gasket comprises: a base plate having a through-hole; a ring-shaped protrusion extending to be inclined from the base plate, and formed along the circumference of the through-hole; and a ring-shaped groove part formed at the base plate along the circumference of the through-hole such that the end portion of the ring-shaped protrusion is accommodated therein when the gasket is pressed between the flanges so as to perform sealing, wherein the end portion of the ring-shaped protrusion is accommodated in the ring-shaped groove part so as to form an air pocket providing elasticity.
