A gate drive unit circuit and a driving method therefor, a gate drive circuit and a display apparatus. The gate drive unit circuit comprises: a shift register (SR) and several drive signal output sub-circuits (5), wherein each of the drive signal output sub-circuits (5) corresponds to one of a plurality of gate lines (GATE1-GATE6) on an array substrate; each of the drive signal output sub-circuits (5) is connected to a first power supply end and a signal output end (OUTPUT) of the shift register (SR); each of the drive signal output sub-circuits (5) is further connected to one corresponding drive scanning signal line (CH1-CH6); and the drive signal output sub-circuits (5) are used for outputting, under the control of a signal output by the signal output end (OUTPUT) of the shift register (SR), a drive scanning signal in the corresponding drive scanning signal line (CH1-CH6) or a turn-off voltage provided by the first power supply end to the corresponding gate line (GATE1-GATE6).
