Abstract:
This gateway, as a gateway mounted in a vehicle, is provided with a communication unit which can communicate with an external device through another gateway which can communicate with the external device outside the vehicle. The other gateway includes: a switch unit which performs a relay process for relaying communication data; and a processing unit which controls the relay process of the switch unit. The communication unit is capable of relaying the communication data received from the switch unit to a device in the vehicle. The gateway includes a control unit which determines whether there is an abnormality of the processing unit and controls the relay process of the switch unit when it is determined that the abnormality has occurred.
