Abstract:
The present invention controls against decrease in calibration accuracy. A gaze detection device (100) includes: a light source for projecting detection light for detecting gazes onto a subject's eyeball; an imaging unit for capturing an image of the eyeball; a position detection unit (210) for detecting the pupil center position and corneal reflection center position of the eyeball from the image captured by the imaging unit; a gaze determination unit (220) for determining whether the subject is gazing steadily at a target position on the basis of the pupil center position and corneal reflection center position detected by the position detection unit (210); and a calibration unit (222) for performing calibration for gaze detection on the basis of the image captured by the imaging unit if the gaze determination unit (220) determines that the subject is gazing steadily at the target position.
