Abstract:
This gear abnormality detection device (30) comprises: an acquiring unit (31) that acquires, from a sensor (20) for detecting recesses and protrusions of a gear (10), a pulse signal in which a first signal section indicating a recess of the gear (10) and a second signal section indicating a protrusion of the gear (10) alternately continue; and a computing unit (32) that uses the pulse signal and determines the absence/presence of an abnormality of the gear (10) on the basis of the ratio of the length of a first time period of the first signal section and the length of a second time period of the second signal section, and further uses at least one of the acceleration and the jerking of an object that operates according to the rotation of the gear (10) in the first signal section and the second signal section to determine the absence/presence of an abnormality of the gear (10).
