Abstract:
For a front-side housing constituting a gear housing, rigidity can be ensured and a structure capable of minimizing a strength decrease in a material junction is achieved. In a worm wheel bottom part 40 constituting a worm wheel accommodation part 17a, a radial rib 59, which is a thick-walled part having a greater thickness dimension than the peripheral portion, is disposed on a side far from a worm accommodation part 18a with respect to the vertical direction and on a side near a motor attachment flange 44 with respect to the body width direction. The radial rib 59 is formed in the material junction, and the thickness dimension of the material junction is therefore sufficiently ensured.
