Abstract:
A gear housing for a motor is affixed to the motor body for driving a rotating shaft and houses a worm and a worm wheel which are connected to the rotating shaft. Three mounting legs which are to be affixed to a mounting member are formed at intervals on a first side surface of the gear housing so as to protrude from the first side surface. A swollen section is formed on the first side surface of the gear housing in such a manner that the swollen section swells outward so as to expand the inner space of the gear housing. The swollen section has: side walls rising from the outer side surface and forming the side walls of the swollen section; and an upper wall which connects the tops of the side walls in the rising direction thereof. The three mounting legs are connected by the side walls and the upper wall.
