Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a gear pump or a gear motor in which flexion of a drive shaft and a driven shaft are reduced. [Solution] A gear pump 10 or a gear motor comprises: gears 12, 14 that mesh together and constitute a pair; shafts 16, 18 that rotatably support the gears 12, 14; a casing 20 having a gear-accommodating chamber 36 that accommodates the gears 12, 14 and a bearing hole 38 through which the shafts 16, 18 are passed; side plates 26 disposed so as to contact side surfaces 22, 24 of the gears 12, 14 in the gear-accommodating chamber 36; protrusions 50 that form recesses 60 into which the side plates 26 are fitted in the casing 20; and bushings 28 which contact the shafts 16, 18 in the bearing hole 38 and of which end parts 70 are disposed to the side of the protrusions 50.
