Abstract:
Provided is a technology for producing a gear structure at low cost.
The gear structure is produced through a preparatory process, a gear cutting process, an engaging process, and a loading process. In the preparatory process, a gear blank comprised of a first diameter portion and a second diameter portion is prepared. In the gear cutting process, teeth are formed in the outer periphery of the first diameter portion, and grooves which are aligned with the tooth grooves of the teeth are formed in the outer periphery of the second diameter portion. In the engaging process, a ring is engaged with the second diameter portion. In the loading process, a load is applied to the ring in the axial direction thereof until the inner peripheral surface of the ring is engaged in the grooves of the second diameter portion by plastic flow thereof, to secure the ring to the second diameter portion.
