Abstract:
This gearing has one transmission member having a first axis as the center axis, and another transmission member that can revolve around the first axis while rotating around a second axis, which is offset from the first axis. A transmission mechanism between both transmission members comprises: one transmission groove that has an annular wave shape, that is provided to the one transmission member, and that is centered around the first axis; another transmission groove that has an annular wave shape, that is provided to the other transmission member, and that is centered around the second axis; and a plurality of rolling elements that are interposed in a plurality of intersecting sections of both transmission grooves. The rolling elements (23) are each provided with: first and second rolling sections (23a, 23b), each having a first spherical surface section (r1) on the outer periphery that rollingly engages with the transmission grooves (21, 22) of the transmission members (5, 8); and an intermediate linking part (23m) that integrally links the rolling sections and rotatably engages with and is supported by a retention hole (31) of a retention member (H1). As a result of this configuration, the thrust load between the transmission grooves and rolling elements during transmission is maintained at zero or adequately reduced, thereby ensuring installation spaces for the retention members between both transmission members.
