Abstract:
A gel composition characterized by containing either a water-soluble thickening agent obtained by copolymerizing acrylic acid and/or a salt thereof or an acrylic acid derivative with an acrylamidoalkylsulfonic acid and/or a salt thereof, or a water-soluble thickening agent obtained by further neutralizing the obtained copolymer with an alkali agent, and containing at least one specified polyglycerol fatty acid ester of high esterification degree. Thus, with the use of the water-soluble thickening agent of acrylamidoalkylsulfonic acid copolymer, there is provided a gel composition that excels in moisture retaining effect and keratin softening effect, ensuring excellent skin fitting sensation and avoiding sticking sensation.
