Abstract:
Provided is a composition that, even while containing a large amount of an alcohol, is in the form of a gel having an adequate level of viscosity and that is unlikely to drip. Specifically, provided is a gel composition which contains an alcohol, water, and a hydroxyethyl cellulose and in which the contained amount of the alcohol is not less than 50 mass% but less than 80 mass%, the viscosity is 2000 mPa·s or more, and the magnitude relationship between the storage modulus G' and the loss modulus G'' obtained through a frequency dispersion measurement is storage modulus G'>loss modulus G'' in the whole frequency range of 0.1-100 rad/s.
