Abstract:
A gel manufacturing method comprises: using a press member disposed on a raw material liquid layer formed of a gel raw material liquid to press the raw material liquid layer against a liquid surface of a base liquid layer having a higher density than the raw material liquid layer, the liquid surface being surrounded on the outer periphery by a mold; thinning the raw material liquid layer to a thickness less than an equilibrium thickness; and gelling the raw material liquid layer pressed against the liquid surface of the base liquid layer by the press member on the liquid surface of the base liquid layer.
